What this app does

Curry 1860 is a subscription cookbook app. Recipes are delivered from our servers to your device based on your subscription plan.

Information we collect

• Account: your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider, Supabase), used to sign you in and carry your subscription across devices.
• Subscription status: your plan and renewal state, processed by RevenueCat together with Google Play Billing or Apple In‑App Purchase. We never see or store your card details — payment is handled entirely by Google/Apple.
• Usage needed to run the service: which recipes you have unlocked in the current billing month (this is how plan limits work).
• On your device only: your stove/oven setup, servings, shopping‑list ticks and cached recipes are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded.

What we do NOT collect

No location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps, no analytics SDKs, and no selling of personal information — to anyone, ever.

Legal basis & POPIA

We process the information above because it is necessary to provide the service you subscribe to (contract), in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

Retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's settings or by emailing us; deletion completes within 30 days.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the account email used to subscribe (subscriptions require an adult account holder).

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase). Recipe content is licensed to your account and protected against redistribution.
